utah county ART LESSONS

GENERAL INFORMATION: Tuition is $100*/trimester (10 classes) with a non-refundable $25 Registration and Supply Fee. We welcome new students at anytime during the trimester. Each class needs to have a minimum of 4* students ages 6* and up. Classes will be an exciting mix of the following:

1) DELIBERATE DRAWING: Drawing and seeing is an essential foundation of art. Deliberate Drawing will be the focus of a good portion of our classes. Lessons will focus on training the hand to draw what the eye sees along with understanding what the eye is actually seeing. We will complete projects using positive and negative space, shading, perspective, portraiture and the human figure.  

2) ART STUDIO:  Students will be introduced to traditional fine art mediums, learning about and working in watercolor, pastels and clay.  

3) FAMOUS ARTIST CATAPULT: We will learn about different artists and their masterpieces and use their styles and works to propel us into our own artistic creations. 

4) ART HISTORY TIME MACHINE: We will navigate through art history, using short introductions to different art periods followed by art projects that link art history with our imaginations. 

5) ARTFUL EXPLORATIONS: We will explore more mediums including collage, acrylics, printmaking and wire sculpture.
